Where in the World is....Carmen Sandiego?!

Lydia just performed her class play on Friday, June 19th. She was fortunate enough to land the part of Carmen. She did an awesome job of memorizing her lines and performing them. I don't think she messed up once! The play was super-cute and was the culmination of a lot of hard work and learning on the part of her teacher and her classmates who she has been with for two years. Go Lydia!!

Baseball Season is Here!!!

Sam is playing for the Mariners this season. His skills have improved A LOT over the years and he is probably having his best season ever. His team - not so much. I think their record is 5-9.
He had a great game tonight driving in two runners to win the game with a triple. He also fielded well and pitched two innings. Looking forward to All-Stars again (I hope!)

Amelia!!

We traveled to Amelia Island this May for a vacation. It was our second trip there and we probably had an even better time than we did last year. The weather was perfect - 85 to 90 most days. It was a really laid back vacation with not much scheduled (by design). We did travel to Cumberland Island one day by boat to see the wild horses and visit the beach. The building above is Ocean Place, where we stayed. There were three identical buildings. We were on the 3rd floor in the middle. It was a beautiful place.

Frolicking in the ocean - probably their favorite pastime there!

Sam and Lydia on the patio of our place.

FLAVA!!!

Lydia has been taking "Hip-Hop" all year long. The class culminated with a big dance recital on May 9th. Her class performed "Flava" and they rocked! Lydia hit every step It was a great recital and a ton of fun to watch! Here are a few photos of the night...

Drive-By Post

Things have gotten busy and I haven't had much time to post!

Sam wrapped up his basketball season a few weeks ago. The Blue Devils had a great year and ended up with an 11-2 record. Sam improved his skills a lot. He is turning into a great ball-handler. Here are a few photos from the season...

Lydia has been busy with her activities too, especially dance and Scouts. A few weeks back she went to the Continental School of Beauty with some girls from her scout troop. She got her hair and nails done. She looked so cute! Here are a few photos from that day...

February Update

Finally...an update!

Not much has been going on, thus the silence. We survived the holidays (they were actually fun) and headed into January. Sam jumped into basketball and has played four games so far. They have won three of them. He is a great ball handler and always does a nice job on the court. Lydia is keeping busy with dance and Scouts. David and Andrea are keeping busy with work! We are all getting tired of the nasty cold and snow. Unfortunately we won't be going away until May. It will be a long March and April. We do have the winter and spring breaks to look forward to in February and April.

Grumpy Morgan - I think he suffers from seasonal depression.

Izzy doesn't!

Me...for anyone who has forgotten what I look like!

Christmas Update

Well, we had another great Christmas! We were fortunate enough to be able to share it with Grandpa Marvin and Grandma Glenda. Our celebration started about 4:00 pm on Christmas Eve and continued until late on Christmas Day. Santa was able to bring Lydia the DS she wanted and some sports equipment for Sam. Here are a few snapshots of the chaos...
